Fundraiser for Playground Equipment

Friday, April 27, 2012

Our kids have gone Duck Crazy over the ducks Bascomb PTA has been selling to raise money for the playground equipment –so we are taking that theme and introducing a new event called RUN FOR THE DUCKS on Friday, April 27, 2012. The events will be held on the baseball fields behind the school starting at 10 am and a complete schedule of when each grade will run is coming home soon.

This is a Fun Run for the kids that helps raise money for new equipment that is accessible to all students, get some exercise in the great outdoors–all while having a lot of fun!

This will be different from past Run events that may have gotten a little too competitive. We will be providing prize incentives to the kids –but instead of pledging to give based on laps run –this is a tax-deductible donation per donor –so you can give as much (or as little) as you can afford. Every little bit helps! Our goal is to raise enough money to get the project started this summer, and that would take a lot of ducks!

Use this form is to record your donations. The Form and all monies collected are due back to homeroom teachers no later than April 26, so remember to collect the money when you get the pledge. Please make checks payable to Bascomb PTA. Prizes will then be awarded based on amounts turned in.

And of course –we will need lots of volunteers, so watch for information from your Room Reps for a Sign-Up Genius to help with this event coming soon.

Now—let’s get out there and RUN FOR THE DUCKS!!!!!!
